picked up a 1987 190d turbo, when i push the gas the engine revs but the wheels dont spin, it actually did with very little power at first and now nothing at all,it just revs, checked transmission fluid and it was pretty much dry as a bone.filled up the transmission fluid, topped all the rest of the fluids and checked most fuses but still to no avail. reverse gear is the only one that accelerates...any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, car was parked for a little over 6 months and i think someone may have driven it with no transmission fluid

 

Rebuild or replace your transmission. A transmssion that has been run dry, or very low will start slipping, or just quit altogether, like anything else they like to have enough oil in them
