1985 sd will not idle and other related issues
 

First time on this forum was hoping for some help. I just bought a 1985 300sd finally got it to start but it wont idle unless I have my foot on the accelerator keeping the engine speed up to at least 800 rpm. Also when I rev the engine up it revs up and spools down , and then stalls.Any ideas? ShouldI change the idle speed, timeing or is it something more involed like an injector. Hope someone here has some sugestions. Thanks in advance.....

Thanks for the advice I tried it to no avail, Hope I pulled the right one there are three toward the rear of the pump. I pulled each one individulaly and none had any effect what so ever. Would a bad injector do this? engine also run rough under 1000rpm
