1983 Mercedes 300D few questions
 

Hey there everybody. I just picked up a 1983 Mercedes Benz 300D with the 5 cylinder turbo diesel. I have been searching around on the internet trying to find a little info on these things but haven't had much luck and was hoping maybe somebody on here could help me out. Now I'm by no means new to diesels. I've been around them all my life and am currently going to school for them. But anyways my main question is what kind of fuel pressure do the lift pumps on these things run? The one on mine is leaking pretty bad and I have been thinking about running an electric fuel pump on it but just not sure what kind of fuel pressure these injection pumps need. I'm assuming that the injection pump on these things is a Bosch. I couldn't find any tags on it. Thanks in advance.

Why no seafom? That's stuff supposed to work wonders...we've even run it in our little Jetta TDI.
