1981 240D Injectors.
 

My 240D has over 215,000 miles. I would like to know what premium injector-cleaner is recommended by Mercedes-Benz.

I was curious because a friend with an '80 240D said he put a quart of lucas with a full tank of diesel and it improved performance and mileage.

I am not a psych but what I understand is that most people after altering something will change there driving habits unknowingly and see a short term positive effect. Your friend may have seen an actual increase in fuel economy but not due to the fuel additive but to the change in driving habit being altered.
Please ask them after six months is there still any difference in economy or performance.

A few questions:
1)How many filters will I need to run an entire tank of bio-diesel?
2)How does the bio-diesel compare with the high-sulpher diesel recommended by Mercedes in 1981?

Didn't the function of an 81 Mercedes diesel require the lubrication of sulpher?

My tank has a 19 gallon capacity. Would 1 or 2 gallons of Lucas to a full tank make a difference?
