1980 Mercedes 300SD
Ok, I have almost (emphasized) become an expert at these cars.
I replaced all of the fuel injectors. However, I notice that on 3 of them, after I start the car, I see a little diesel and air bubbles actually coming up where the fuel injector threads into the engine. I had used a torque wrench up to 60 ft lbs too when I tightened them up. Any suggestions as to why I would be getting so many leaks. Yes, I did replace the fuel injector washers at the bottom and yes, I could have sworn I put them the right way (though I forget now which side was up). Any suggestions as to why I am getting fuel leaks both up on top of the fuel injectors and why tiny air bubbles would come up through where the fuel injectors screw in. Any help is appreciated.
