190d fuel injection pump shutoff lever HELP!
Hello All,
I made the mistake of backing off the retaining nut for the fuel shut off lever, to the point where I cannot locate the shaft of this lever into the pump to do its job as intended. Turning off my ignition does not shut off the engine, and this lever does not operate to stop fuel supply. Does someone know the procedure for replacing this shaft? Any help is appreciated!! thanks Sorry, 1984 w201 190d |
I found an old post from this site, suggesting to remove the intake manifold to gain access to the pump. Then remove the ALDA and the shutoff actuator, to view inside the top of the pump. The prongs on the end of the shaft operate on this actuator and it should be easy to see how to replace it.
Wish me luck and I will post my attempt. Thanks! |
