SiriusXM Signal Stickiness

We very recently purchased a 2018 C300 sedan. We find that the satellite receiver (SiriusXM) has a problem holding onto the signal, especially within about a 1/2 mile radius of our house, but still in-and-out in some other other locations. We have a 2016 GLC300 that does not have these problems, except in one or two small trouble spots on a common route and only for a few seconds. Additionally, we have had service loaners from the dealer (E, C, and A class) that do not have the problem that the C300 has (they behave exactly like the GLC300 in this regard).

The dealer has checked this out (as in "have run diagnostics") and tell me everything is working properly. But based on the empirical evidence (one vehicle behaving badly and 5 or 6 behaving well), I'm pressing them to not blow me off. Two call outs here:

1) Has anyone had a similar experience?
2) Given the circumstances, I'm looking for suggestions on how best to escalate. General experiences there?

Thanks,
Jim

Acquiring signal makes me think its an issue with the antenna wire/connection but the "updating channels" message means the antenna is working. I've never heard of this.

MBUSA recently replaced the antenna and the problem went away. So, faulty antenna or poor connection.
