I have a US model 2005 C230K with the stock radio, which I think is known as the Comand 2.0 system.

Is this radio RDS capable?

My radio shows no signs of being capable of displaying RDS info yet I have seen photos of what looks like the exact same radio displaying RDS info. I'm wondering if it is a US model/European model discrepancy. And yes, RDS info is definitely broadcast in my area.

 

Are you sure it wasn't a Satelite unit you saw? I have the 2005 C230-Sport sedan with the optional Sirius Satelite receiver, and I get the RDS information on my unit.

 

I have since learned that only the European version has RDS capability. How absolutely retarded.
