Hi, Mercedes can't help me because the radio I bought is not on the original vehicule. I really need the code to install in my car.....Can someone help me?

No ideas?? I could really use some help
My old radio in my car needed to be replaced so I bought a used one from a fellow on Ebay. Mercedes however has told me that they can not install this other radio because they need a "security code" to "unlock" this other radio? I guess this is an "anti-theft" thing. I called the fellow I bought it from, but he does not have the VIN of the car this radio came off of. Not sure what to do.
Someone here must be able to help?

My wife and I are new MB owners. Bought a 2004 ML350 lease/fleet vehicle. Battery went dead last weekend in the middle of nowhere. Put a new battery in and now the radio is asking for the unlock code. Dealer doesn't have it. Can you help?

give me the vin# of the vehicle....if the radio has not been replaced at some time in the past then I should be able to get it for you. if the radio has been replaced then you might need to pull out the radio and give me the serial number. or you might have a radio code card in you car manual binder someplace. sometimes people will write it down in the ownwers manual.

 

My VIN # is "see private message". Sure hope this works. Car did not have any manuals - bought a set off of Ebay. Is there anything tricky to entering the code?
