Default 2 Ohm

does any one know what will happen if I install a new 4 ohm head unit and leave the Bose 2 ohm speakers, my ML320 Bose power amp is going bad and I am looking at other options.

I just want to replace the fiber optics system, -

I am no expert by any means. But from what I have read, the fiber optics is in a 'ring'. That meaning all the audio is hooked together and there is no end. If the ring is broken, no unit, the sound will not work. There is a 'loop back plug' from MB you can buy. I also read that if you explain what you did to the service/parts guys they can help. I am a computer network guy so the terms I use may not apply.

Hope it helps.

Bob
