Default Help with fitting JVC AVX44 in a 2002 CLK

I got a JVC AVX44 and tried to install it in my 2002 CLK 320 Avantgarde. I conntect the two main connectors and the aerial and I get power to the unit so that the front can open and close (for putting in a disc) but the unit will not turn on to play anything.

Does anyone know anything about fitting this (the previous unit was an Audio 10). There is also a light green wire coming from the unit that is supposed to go to the parking brake sensor? Is this essential and how would I get to this to do it? Finally, what would I need to get the steering wheel controls to work.

Apart from this, it seems to look quite nice.....

Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.
