what year is the car and is it the glass or the whole unit that's loose?

both side view mirrors, whole unit loose. How to tighten them

I have a 2004 350 SL and the entire unit is loose on both side view mirrors. How do I tighten them!!

generally at the top of your inside door there would be a triangular trim piece that is opposite of the mirror mount. pry at the top of cover, should pop loose. be extra careful, if you don't have proper tools, maybe a butter knife with tape over the end to protect finish.
