I have a 1995 SL320. I had a hydraulic leak around the sun visor. I fixed it just fine. Now I am leaking Hydraulic Fluid like crazy. It comes out just in front of the passengers side rear wheel. I will lose over half of the hyraulic fluid in the resevoir with just one use of the soft top. It also appears to be slow leaking when nothing is in use. I have no idea on this one. Can anyone help?

When you get BOTH front cylinders out (as it is highly recommended to repair both the fronts at the same time) you can send them to: Mercedes Hydraulic Cylinder Rebuilder
Dennis has rebuilt hundreds of these for us owners, 1 day turnaround after receipt, 3 yr. warranty. Cost is around $35@ + shipping. Contact Dennis for details.
Or, you can buy new cylinders online or at the Dealer for around $125@ w/1 yr. warranty.

I have received the repaired struts from Dennis. I've also put them back in place. But I hesitated to activate the covertible top until I fill up the lost oil. I've order the hydraulic oil and it's on its way to my house. Could you kindly show me how to fill the oil? Where is the reservoir? I have the 1990 Mercedes 500SL. Thank you, all!
I just had Dennis rebuild my two visor struts and used stop leakpower steering fluid in the reservoir for the lost fluid. Only cost me $95 total and everything is working fine.
