Default which engine is more reliable/ better fuel economy?

hello folks, is me again. I am working in thye process to 'trnasplant' a mercedes Benz Diesel engine onto a mid size SUV AWD manual Transmission. I will like to know which engine is more reliable and better fuel economy among these:

1. 6 cylinder from E300 1996. non turbo
2. 6 cylinder frmo E300 1998 turbo diesel
3. 5 cylinder turbo from 1992 Mercedes

also, what is the horsepower and torque of the 5 cylinder diesel and posible fuel mileage on a 4000 pounds vehicle with manual transmission?

again thanks for your time

#2 is the only one that will have enough power to move an SUV around at a reasonable pace.

1- 130hp, no more power potential.
2- 178hp, can handle up to 300hp on stock internals.
3- 120hp, can handle up to 200hp on stock internals.

To use 1 or 2, you'll have to swap a mechanical pump from a 1986/87 300D/300SDL.
