Hi All,
I have a 87 Diesel (SDL). Its Pre-glow indicator lamp on the dash stopped glowing after the key is turned on, hence it does not start when the engine is cold. What could the issue be and how can I fix this problem? Please help.

 

Thanks very much for the prompt response. I checked the fuse box and there was no fuse for pre-glow indicator lamp and all the fuses in the box seem to be ok. Anything else I can try?

 

Thanks for pointing me to the GP relay box with a photo. The relay strip fuse (silver bridge) appears new and intact (not broken). Also, there appear to be no burn marks inside the box or any corrosion on connectors and pins. Anything else I can check?

Also, another issue I discovered is that the fan in front of the radiator remains on the whole time while the engine is running. I believe it is only suppose to turn on when the engine is hot.
