Good day folks, I am a new member as well as a new Mercedes owner. I just received, as a gift, a 1979 450 SLC. The vehicle is in "Fair" condition with one real issue. I was that the transmission needs repair or replacement. Although the car will not actually move, I am in love with it. I would like to restore the car to it's original state, as much as possible. I joined the forum in hopes to find guidance and sound advice regarding this project. Any help would be appreciated and I plan to start the project ASAP. I will post some photos and more specific information soon. Thanks for any help you may give.
