My 2001 mercedes slk 230 has a roof opening and closing problem. Right now the trunk lid is stuck on the driver side and will not open backwards to allow the roof to close.The problem started a week ago when the lid on the driver side began to stick a little and then release. I took it to mercedes who tried to looswen the latch mechanism and played around with the cables and said it was ok.Itook the car home and tried it.It opened fine but when I tried to close the roof..the trunk lid on driver side stuck and thats where it stands...how can one even get to the latches with roof in the trunk...how would this be properly fixed.I have already spent a lot on this Please help...thanks. dgrover@sympatico.ca
