SLK230 Broken roof switch panel
Hi guys I have a 2002 SLK230 and the panel that houses the mirror adjustment button and the roof switch is not properly attached and moves whenever I use those buttons anyone know a fix?

you have to pull the console to see what's going on. pull the parking brake cover off with some effort. pry the chrome trim off around the shift indicator and then carefully pry up the cover that holds the window switches at the back edge or where ever it is the easiest to get under. you'll see two screws all the way back in the opening under the cover. open console compartment and pull up the carpeting at the bottom back of the compartment, you'll see two more screws. pull slightly up to unlock the front. there are wedges/tools for prying without scratching available. something like a putty knife with tape covering the metal part coming in contact with interior parts will work. careful.
