SLK 320 air filter removal?

RE: SLK 320 air filter removal?
Hi,
You just pull the whole black cover thing (which includes the filters) sharply upwards.
I don't recommend changing the entire assembly for some after market fit assembly.
Why do you want to change the air filter type or are you just referring to the paper elements?
What will you achieve if you get rid of the whole assembly?
You may end up with MAF problems.

Hi,
Yes. Just jerk the whole cover upwards and it will come away. Its held by 4? rubber bobbins. Best to grip it half way down each side and spread the loading as much as possible.
Don't be timid....on the other hand don't be too forcefull. No screw type fixings are used.
