Mercedes 230 SLK Roof Warning Beep
Hi There,
I have my Daughters SLK for a few weeks while she is on holiday and the main purpose of her leaving the car with me was to sort out the roof warning beep which sounds after a few minutes driving and drives her mad. the roof is operating fine both opening and closing and the gaps around the boot are nice and snug. Can anyone assist me in solving this problem or i wouldnt mind disconnecting the audible device that sounds however i suspect it may be the same device which tells you your lights have been left on when you exit the car.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Viv

more than likely the mirco-switch where the passenger side roof pin goes it. the top closed sensor. with a flashlight you can look in and see it with the top down. not too hard to replace. if i remember correctly, remove the visors and a couple of screws in the overhead light and pull straight back on the cover, don't pull down.
