Default Cd Exchanger installation & Bracket

Hi I have a 2001 SLK with orginal radio. I purchased a mercedesMERCEDES BENZ 6 DISK CD PLAYER S E CLK SL SLK MC3010
cd exchanger from e bay with a bracket attached. My husband says I do not have the correct bracket. Does anyone know where I can purchase the correct mounting bracket for the trunk . Also does anyone have the instructions for installation of this cd exchanger. Thank You!!!

I understand the OEM fits behind the glovebox, rather than the trunk.

Hi again Suerai,

See my earlier response to your questions here:

The following link may be the procedure I used a long time ago. It is great with pictures and simple instructions. You must transfer the HU-OUT fiber optic cable to the HU-IN connector in the trunk area. I really don’t recall pulling the head unit. So that may not be necessary. I would try pushing the CD button on your head unit after you change the rear cables to see if the CD changer works. If not, make the changes at the head unit.

Please let me know how it goes.
