Air Bypass Valve

RE: Air Bypass Valve
I need some help finding the real reason why my check engine light is on. I have a 2000 SLK 230.
The code reader at Auto Zone displayed a P0410 error (secondary air injection system failure) about one month ago. I read the suggestions on this forum about cleaning out the air check valves, but at the time, I thought there might be other problems. In the mornings when I would first start the car, it seemed sluggish, and it was often difficult to accelerate.
So, I took the car in and was told that two additional errors came up--P0243 (recirculated air flap actuator for supercharger) and P1235. I was told that the the air bypass valve needed to be replaced because the electronics weren't working properly.
After the new part was installed (and my spending money was gone), the check engine light stayed off for two days, but now it's back on. The Auto Zone code reader shows a P0410 error again. Do you have any suggestions about the cause of the problem? Should I go ahead and change the air check valves?
Thanks.

RE: Air Bypass Valve
I went to my AllDataFYI subscription service for information regarding the P0140 code.
A few of the possibilities are the (1) EGR valve malfunctioning, (2) air combi valve not working and/or (3) the airpump or supercharger not putting out a sufficient amount of air.
Hope this helps . . .
