Default Weight of Engine in 450SL

I recently purchased a 1980 450SL as well as a 1976 450SLC parts car. I am interested in performing an engine swap as the 80 has almost 200k and the 76 has about 97k. I think from my looking through the forums here that these two should be easily compatible with the same 4.5L V8, and really the only differences between the two were the added cab length and rear seat along with the head room. Anyway, I am wondering if anyone knows how much the completed engine weighs? I need to buy a couple of engine stands, can the 1k lb easily hold the massive V8? or do I need to go bigger?

Sorry if this has already been posted, I have searched but the results were really all over the place and didn't answer the question: How much does the engine weigh/how big of a engine mount do I need?

Any info would be much appreciated!

Default Re: Engine Weight

Thank you, I actually did that and am able to find weights for pretty much every american engine ever, but German is apparently a lot harder to find. I have yet to find any sort of weight or measurement for either just the engine or the engine and transmission combo. Any further help would truly be appreciated!
