SL500 2003 I have installed a trickle charger on the auxiliary battery in the trunk. However, in order to connect it to power I must leave the trunk open. I have not found a path for the wire to allow me to close the trunk. leaving the trunk open turns on the light for the trunk. Does anyone know how to turn off this light while the trunk is open?

 

the 129 has a switch on the rear wall next to the light. if not, the 230 trunk light shouldn't be hard to remove.
