I bought this car on impulse and know nothing about it. My Question; The doors and the trunk are locked and the car has a dead battery. I don't know how to unlock either the doors or trunk. Both keys are not working in any of the 3 locks. Is there a way in?

 

you did try pushing in on the trunk lock? there is a tab at the top of the door pull handles, if they are at a 45 degree angle downward you maybe able to reach in around the glass with a stiff wire and pull the tab up to a horizontal position.

 

If I may say so, that SL looks to me like it's in really nice condition!

 

She is in the shop right now getting ready for a road trip. I can't wait to get her back on I-5 heading south! She's a little Rocket when I step on it. I have read in NADA that this exact car is of the most undervalued collector cars today. Under 10K. They quote "The 1991 300SL is the direct predicessor to the Original 300SL that came out about 50 years ago. Now they have a new 300SL. I like the classic look of the 1991. My daily driver when I retire in Arizona. A regular Blue Hair Lady, Mac Daddy, Pick Up Machine! LOL
