I love the 2003-2005 SL500 and considering buying one. I heart the 2003 had lots of problems but the 2004-2005 supposedly was better, since problems were fixed. Also was told not to worry about the miles, since these engines last, but watch out for ABC problems?

I don't know much about these cars, but I love the look of the car and driving it is a pleasure.

Any advise, tips and hints from this forum would be much appreciated.

ive had a 2003 sl since 2005 and have only had one problem,, that was associated with the front lights... otherwise.
it has run flawlessly and i truly love the styling and everything about it....

jd power had rated the 05 the best followed closely by the 04 then the 03. I like the headlight assemblies and grille on the older 230 better than the newer 231. they are all nice and really good looking rigs.
