Default Hydraulics for top

I have rebuilt 4 hydraulic cylinders and now the sequence seems messed up. Not sure what to do now. I am in Wichita Kansas. Anyone know of someone who can help? Now the rear Tonneau cover won't close in proper sequence. Dick Stevens dstevens1949@gmail.com

Default My mess up

I have replaced the front at the windshield and then the ones for the rear top. I messed up , I think, In that I bent the relay that is on the drivers side cylinder. When we got it all back together the rear was missing the connector to go in and then gor stuck down. The tonneau cover was not going down in the right sequence. I was very frustrated as they make the access big enough for a 5 yr olds hands. When we were at the end I noticed that the tonneau cover lift cylinder on the passenger side had started to leak! GRRRR. Ideas ? The relay doesn't have a part number on it and the task of taking it back off is a challange.

I 1st replaced the front latch hydraulics and then the rear bow extention hydraulics. When puttingt them in I dsmashed the micro switch and attempted to "fix" it. The issue is that when putting the top down the tonneau cover doesn't go down in the right sequence. When putting it up the rear latches go in and then come back out.

did you check the function of the bow cylinder and the microswitch, make sure the switch is being activated by the piston head. I bent the switch holder twice installing the cylinder. need to be very careful. Is the top coming up or just not latching and can you lock the top down manually? on the leak, make sure the line seal isn't leaking.

I am in process of putting in the new microswitch as I smashed it when putting in the cylinder. I can hope that it just works but the temps in Kansas have reached the upper 90s so am holding off for a cool day.

that should do the trick. if not, with ignition switch on, short ports 1 and 10 at your diagnostic port behind the strut mount on the firewall for 2 to 4 seconds and count the flashes from the top switch, repeat until it repeats the first code again, keep track of all codes incase there are multiple problems. let us know the codes if fixing the bow cylinder switch doesn't work. alldata.com will have all this information except they want you to use a pulse counter, it's not need because the car will flash the codes through the top switch, but they will give you the codes.
