Default How do you remove a sl320 blower motor?

I have a 92 SL320 that has a bad heater blower motor and want to replace it. Does any one have any idea how to do this? What needs to come apart? Where is it located at? Any thing to watch out for ?

Thanks for your help!!

Default RE: How do you remove a sl320 blower motor?

on my 300sl it's down below the windshield wiper. you have to remove the leaf guards. just loosen the 3 screws on both guards. lift up on the end closest to the outside of the car, keeping them still flaton windshield, then slide them on the glass toward the outside of car. then removewater drains. there should be 2 screws and 2 rivets holding on the cover just behind the engine. disconnect vacuum lines. there are 8 screws and rubber stopper that needes to be removed from the housing that has the baffles. there are 6 clips on the blower assy. this a simplifcation, use logic andbecareful offorcing anything. cover your fenders, I use large bath towels. and remember your hood will open straight up. look at the catches when the hood is at its first position.
