Hi guys, i have been a member of several forums and I'm glad to see this one is alive and well. I am writing today about a 1988 SL 560 that caught my eye. It is for sale at 6950. I have two questions, number one, is this a fair price? And number two, is this the more desirable year for this model car? thanks guys

 

what's the mileage? has it been garage kept? are there service records? how's the overall condition inside, outside and under? if in good shape, they are well built great cars.

 

I would stay away from that car. Someone's getting rid of it for a reason. I would look around for something newer.

 

Condition is great. Maintenance records are available and it's always been garage kept. I've been looking to buy a vintage SL and this one looked nice. Just want to make sure it is a reliable machine. I am told that certain model years for the SL are really bad so I want to make sure this one isn't one of those years!
