AC/ HEAT problem 1996 SL500
Last year as the weather turned cooler, I had difficulty getting the heat in this car operating and it never did. I made it through our winter (low 50's) without heat but late in the winter it began working. With respect to the AC, I have had no problems during the summer. I recently had the AC charged and tested for (NO) leaks. First time in 6 years of ownership. Just this week, I tried to use the AC and it is not functioning but the heat is. We have many more warm days here even during the winter. Does anyone have any idea why this would just start? It is 79 today. Are heat and AC on separate fuses? Is there a sticking valve? Can I get to it or spray it externally? hanks for your help. This car is beginning to try my patience, too bad it runs so well.

Start by looking at a post on 9/12 for a 95 sl320 and follow the procedure. It's alway nice to have an extra climate control module, so u can rule that out. you can get a good used one off ebay. don't give on on her, they're just too nice a car and yours is a good year.
