Hi,

I'm 6' 6" tall but with a 36" inside leg in reasonable torso / leg proportion.

Yesterday I sat in a new SL350, the first time ever, to see if I would fit okay. I'm currently in Scotland and the salesman and I didn't take our time since the car was outside and it was -3C.

I could fit into the car okay but my head touched the panoramic netting on the roof and that was with the seat as far down as it would go. I might have been able to adjust the seat rake, if not so damn cold, but it did seem very neat inside the cabin.

I drive a 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera S and have no problem with length or height although I did have the front seats lowered and moved back.

Does anyone know if it's possible, or has anyone actually lowered and moved the driver and passenger seat back in a Mercedes SL.

I now live in Greece and would love a 2008 / 2009 SL 350 but only if I don't look like Jaws in that old Bond film ie my head is above the top of the windscreen when the roof is down.

im 6'1" and the seats just dont go back far enough for me. In any SL

 

Im 6'3" and just drove from Cal to Mn and loved every minute of it and was very comfortable!
