Thinking of buying a 2003 sl that has a hydraulic leak.the owner states that if the car sits a few days it is lowered but when he starts it the car rises up.he said there is a hydraulic leak.it has 89000 miles
Does anyone know what this could be and how much to fix at dealer.thanks jimbo

 

Does it really have a leak? Is it loosing hydraulic fluid? The ABC suspension pump could be weak. If its not leaking the first thing to do is flush the system and renew the filter. Dirt particles in the fluid can allow the suspension to drop down. There are many things that can cause the suspension to drop. An ABC pump is about $700-1000 bucks. about 4-5 hours labor to install.
