1996 320 SL Soft Top Controller
A search on this subject shows little of late and few solutions reported.
The soft top controller faulted when some actuators were replaced. The codes were reset and all was well other than the yellow light on the dash and the roll bar light stayed on. All systems worked fine. Then the battery was allowed to die and the resulting efforts at recharging/starting the car caused a hard fault in the controller which can not be reset.
I find this is not unlikely. However, every post I read from guys with the same issue states that the controllers always come back from reman with the same hard codes and do not work. Sourcing a rebuilt controller would seem to be the only option - other than making it a permanent hardtop, which isn't a bad idea as the rear windows on the soft top have split and a new top would be required. Anyone have a source on these controllers?
Thanks for any help.

try GM Cluster, Speedometer and ABS Module Repairs | AutoXpressTech for an alternative to bba reman for repair on modules.
