Hi,
I'm new and I have a question. I have a 1990 Mercedes 300SE. When you start the car you can move the gear selector into reverse and if you don't leave reverse you can go back into park but if you laeve park or reverse and go to any of the forward gears it will not go back into park or reverse until you turn the engine off and wait one or two seconds and then it will go back into park or reverse very easily. Can anyone help me?

I have already replaced the shift linkage plastic bushings and this did not fix the problem.

 

double check your cable shift for your transmission. or even better do diagnostic & print out the results to pinpoint your problem on your MB. better than searching a needle in a hay stack
