Default Transmission Pressure sensor

Hi guys!-

I have a 1992 Mercedes 400SE. There is a leak somewhere at the rear of my transmission. After inspecting it, I discoverd that it is not coming from the outputshaft seal and is not the pan gasket. It appears to be coming from a sensor on the right rear of the transmission. This sensor has a 19mm banjo Bolt with a valve at the tip, that runs all the way through the electrical portion of the sensor, and seals to the trans with an aluminium washer, and the banjo bolt has 3 o-rings on it. I cant tell how this sensor works, or if to get it to stop leaking I need to replace the banjo bolt and 0-rings or the elctrical portion.

For example and oil pressure sensor when it leaks you replace the whole thing, but because this is a two piece deal with a sealing washer, I can t tell if the electrical portion even has oil running through it. Anyone else been through this or know what I am refering to?

Default RE: Transmission Pressure sensor

kickdown solenoid valve.

just replace the O-rings. coat with a little grease before installing so it won't get scratched.
