suspension problem, car is lower on one side plz help!
i have a 2000 s430 with 120K on it. i previously had some air suspension leaking problems but i got them fixed by a mercedes mechanic (the mechanic is my friends dad but he works at the mb dealership).
the problem i have right now is that the rear passenger air suspension is noticably lower then the other 3 (about an inch), the suspension works fine and when i press the raise vehicle button all it raises fine (its still tilted but it raises the same amount as all the other sides), the mercedes mechanic told me the he tried to plug it to the delear computer and adjust the height and it works fine when he does it, but as soon as he disconnects it from their computer it goes back to the way it was, he said that i might need to buy a new shock! which is pretty expensive.
does anyone know what would cause this problem, and is there a way to fix it without replacing the shock, i know they sell shock repair kits for like 80$ but would that fix it?
thanks in advance

its most likely not a shock. when you hook it up to the computer and adjust it , it will go back to where it was...you have to adjust it on an alignment rack and use a tool called a rhombus gauge. that will store the height and adjust it to where you want it...as far as the repair kits they are for the front shocks. im sure they have been done already if your "s" has that mileage on it...if there not done i would recommend doing it, because if they leak out the front will drop far down and possibly not come up. any more q's let me know
