Default S430 Airmatic Computer Unit

I would like to find out if my 2000 S430 Mercedes has an airmatic computer unit. About a month and a half ago i spent nearly 2,000 replacing the airmatic pump, the struts reseal kits, valves, relay because i got the car too low message and my front tires were sitting too low.

A month and a half after the repairs were done, i woke up in the morning and all four tires were sitting too low. I took it back to the shop and they are telling me the computer (airmatic computer) is not working and would cost me another 1500-1700 to replace it. Can someone help me out with this because i find it hard to believe that all these things will go bad around the same time. Thanks

if the had fixed all that you have listed. then yes there is a computer box. i would call it an amp looking thing right next to the air ride compressor. u can check it out urself. all u have to do is remove the front bumper. shouldnt be hard to take off. its sitting underneath the passenger headlight side. there u will the valve, compressor and the computer amp. u can probably take it out urself and buy a new one and put it in urself and save u some money.

I would ask them to give you a print out of codes in Airmatic Computer
then come back and list codes and go from there

Agreed with what they said, Print out the trouble codes to pin point the problem rather buying using guessing game which you might probably end up paying extra thousands on your Mercedes.

if it is really the control unit then replace as per advice by merc5430

good luck
