08 S class. Nice choice.
Kind of remind of a middle ground between the sleek w220 and the more robust bulk w140.
So far we get a couple into the shop every so often but over all seem pretty reliable with most of them coming in for little ****les like automatic trunk closing feature stops working and a few busted air suspension bags. Not much. At least not in this area.
Just keep up with oil and coolant maintenance when it is time. Had a few M273 and M272 (usually found in E-Classes and some C-Classes of that era) that came in when the oil cooler/filter assembly sprung a leak on inside gasket. Started to mix oil and coolant. not to hard relatively to replace. But seen some come in with exasperated customer after taking it elsewhere and replacing head gasket and everything else under the sun ($$$$$$$), and it was simply the oil cooler/filter gasket.
