Default Differential Leak

I have a '95 S320 with 107k miles. When the car was up the mechanic noticed a leak from the differential. Looks like a slow leak. When I pull my car out there is nothing on the ground. I am just wondering how long before this needs to be addressed. I don't drive the car very much. Maybe 200 miles a month. Would this make a difference. I just don't want to spend a lot of money on the service that is not necessary. I don't hear any noises or have any problem NOW when I drive.
What are the main problems that occurs when the differential is going?
Also I have a slow engine oil leak. Are these cars prone to leaking? Thanks all. ..
