Default R320

Hello all, just joined and will be trawling the forum for all the info. I can glean on the R-Class 320 and more specifically Airmatic suspension!! I currently have a Shogun which is going and i am looking for a R320 around about '06 '07. I'm sure i will enjoy the forum and plan to be a reasonably active member as I am on the Pajero forum just now. I plan to tow regularly and my van is twin axle and 1900kg laden. Also do the pull from Aberdeen to France with the van once a year and tow all year round with 2 kids and 2 dogs which is why the R-Class appeals. My only concern is air suspension!! Any advice? Is it very problematic?

Cheers,

Benny.

I have an R320 as well an 09 one, it is ideal for towing as the engine has bags of torque. Mine hasn't got air suspension, but my previous car an S Class did have. I never had any problems with the air suspension, but if I were you the first thing I would check would be the compressor, if you can take it off and bench test it and it is fine, that really only leaves having a leak or a dodgy.switch.
if you have any kids get them to hunt for the his while you raise the car up.
