Where is the Thermostat located?

RE: Where is the Thermostat located?
You cannot buy just a thermostat. MB built the T/S into the housing so it comes as a complete assy. I could not find an aftermarket so had to buy it from MB.
On the issue of the fans, check the fuse as it tends to blow. As the car gets older they tend to draw more current. MB recommends that the wiring be changed to a larger AWG gauge then the fuse rating be increased. If my memory serves me, you up it to a 20 or 25 amp one.
There is a good online service which gives good service and repair info for $26.95/yr. Go to
