Need to Install Brakes and Rotors
#2
Never done it on the ML, but I presume its the same as on any other car. My question is, since the brakes on the ML350 are not exactly superb, how difficult it would be to swap them, calipers and rotors, for the ones from the ML500? Would that improve brake efficiency? Thinking about only the front pair.

Just did it in my 99 ML 320.Easy as easy can be.You need to remove the wheel than the two sliders wich take torx bits not before pushing back the piston (i used a flat screwdriver). The rotor is held by a 6 mm screw with alan head. There is another liltle bracket held by two 8mm scres(13 mm wrench).Don`t know what that does except perhaps keeping mud and dust away from the rotor...You going to tap the rotor with a hammer until comes lose.Put everything back together, locktite the bolts.Carefull with the brake sensors(one LF andRR)I simply disconected those useless(IMHO) things since they gave me false readings when going through deep water. You will be on the road in less than one hour.Did all front&rear in about 70 minutes.Don`t forget to pump the brakes before taking off
