Default Engine Scanner Connection...

I have a 1998 ML320 and the check engine light is on. I bought an OBDII engine scanner, where do I connect the scanner to the car? Where is the data access port?

Its near the engine release. Grab a flashlight and place your head down where your feet go...then look up, there should be a cover that is hinged and will allow you to insert the code reader.

It's to the left of the steering column on the underside of the dash.
