ANYBODY--Do I need crank position sensor?
Just bought my wife 2003 ML350 3 weeks ago. Car has 67,000 miles on it. Had some catch up maintenance done, everything was great. Replaced fuel filter as part of that. The vehicle really is in excellent condition. This week she says car starts and runs fine but when she is taking my son to school the car acts as if it wants to stall at stop lights. She said it is random and happened each morning this last week. Has a vibration when about to stall. Says that trafficlight changes just in time so she can get going before it actually doesstall. She also said it is fine for the rest of the day. From my research on this forum, I feel it has to bethe crank position sensor going bad. Any thoughts?
Now it is Friday April 18,my wife told me today it about stalled at a stop light. She floored it with gas and said after a couple a seconds it responded and sped off. She says it is getting closer and closer to just flat out dying but runs fine other wise. What is going on with these random bog downs at red lights?
