2001 ML320 - What I’m doing wrong?
Hello,
I have a 2001 ML320 leaking from the steering gear and I’m trying to remove the steering coupling from the steering shaft but I can’t, I don’t know if something is wrong or I’m doing the procedure incorrectly.
When I push up the steering coupling it moves freely in the shaft about ¾” as you can see on picture 1 and 2 where I indicated the bottom and top position of the coupling but it is not enough to get it completely out of the bottom section.
My question is how the coupling is removed, sliding up in the steering shaft or pushing up the steering shaft?
Can someone help me please?
Thanks.
