Default 2000 ML 320 Tune-UP

I'm new to this forum but wanted to ask a question. My 2000 ML 320 has about 108,000 miles and I've owned it since 45,000. Never had a problem with it but recently I've noticed that it's much much louder at idle than when I first purchased it. Is this because it needs a tune-up? I'm scheduled for a tune-up at the end of March and just wanted to get a ballpark figure how much a Tune-up (100,000) is and what is replaced? Is this something I can DIY?

Thanks

Have you had the Catalytic Converters repaired yet ? That's where the noise came from on my 2001. Cracked all the way around. Dealer wanted $1,300 apiece to replace them (there are 4) before the recall letter went out....I had them removed and welded and reinstalled for about $300 TOTAL....take to dealer, but I think they would only replace them before reaching 100K.

Look for upwards of 1000 - 1500 depending on what maintence you have done in the past, you are looking at sparkplugs all 12, all fluids, all filters, and the way ML eat brake pads and tires?
