United States GL import to Europe: France, possible?

Default United States GL import to Europe: France, possible?
I would like to import a second hand GL 320 CDI 2008 from Atlanta and have it registered in France. Are the differences between EU and US homologated cars possible to be overcome or is this too expensive? Please advise thanks
