Teaching Door Opener
Any tips on how to teach an 06 E350 door opener control to open/close garage door opener. I followed instructions in MB manual & followed manufacturer's door opener control re-teach instructions with no success. Thanks, JG

train mode
the garage door opener itself has a learn/train mode. you put it in that mode which basically send out a signal. then you jump in the car you have to press and hold the button to catch that signal and it locks and saves it in the cars memory and from there you will be set.not sure what button in that car it is but in my 02 clk its the far left button under the rear view mirror.

there is always a time limit. depends on garage door motor head model. my Genie times out
in about 5-10 secs. fortunately, i have low overhead and can park my car beneath the
motor head. open sunroof and stretch out to invoke LEARN function...and with other hand,
press the button in car.
most folks have taller ceilings so require 2 people

For the rolling code openers, it's a two step process. First you have to teach your car's opener the frequency used by the garage's unit. Then you sync up the rolling codes. The procedure is shown by a Mercedes rep at the following link:

YouTube video was super helpful
As far as the garage programmer, I found the YouTube video super helpful. The dealer told me I would have to call the 1-800 number for help on programming the car, but with this video it was easy. The link shown above is the one. I think its a dealer in Austin Texas, and the guy does a great job in 2 minutes of telling you how to do it. He actually walks you all the way through.
Good luck.
Great site by the way!
