Default Speedtronics Inoperative

Hello, I have a 2007 E350 with 2500 miles and I had an error that poped up that said "Speedtronic Inoperative."

Does anybody know what that means??

Thanks.

Not sure on an 07but I guess "Speedtronic" = Cruise Control. Is your Cruise working? If so were you driving at less than 25mph when you tried to operate it?

Any other warnings present. ABS, EPS etc. Speedo / Trip Computer working OK?

Usual problem is speed sensor or brake switch but these issues also effect other systems.

Get OBD On Board Diagnostic codes read (dealer) and this will help in finding out why the Cruise has gone down.

Stuart,

Thanks so much for the ideas. All seems to work fine but the cruise control is so close to the blinker so I probably hit it. I'll find the OBD codes and check out with dealer. Time for first scheduled maint. anyway.

I appreciate the help.
