While I was on the road, the ABS-System, BRAKE ASSIST, and ESP Visit Workshop came on. After a while, I pulled over and switched off the engine and waited for about a minute and turn the engine on again, the malfunction was gone. Is there something wrong on my braking system? Do I really need to go to a workshop for this? Thank you for your reply.

most of them resolve the issue by replacing the brake lamp switch.

you may try resetting it first.

Hi Guys,

I also need some help on this issue. In the last 2 mths the ABS, ESP and BAS light came up on my 2002 E320 3 times with 3 malfunctions but only when it was raining. But from last 3 days this comes up after driving 1 mile every time. Can you suggest some thing that can be done?

- How do you reset brake lamp switch as you suggested?
- If I take my car to MB service how much they charge to detect the problem ?
- does this looks like a dirty sensor problem, if yes Can i myself clean it up or do I need to take it to a service station?

Thanks.
